So that you can guarantee to see your doctor on the day you are sick, without waiting for an appointment, we have Open Access Surgeries with no appointment required.
As we cannot know in advance how many patients will attend each surgery, this can mean that you may have a lengthy wait so please bring a book with you. However, you can leave your written request for a repeat prescription at reception at any time.
If you or your child is likely to be infectious then please advise the receptionist so that she can arrange for you to sit separately from other waiting patients.
Out of Hours appointments
If you require a Saturday morning or Wednesday afternoon appointment to see Dr Mitchell, because you are unable to attend daily open access surgeries, please ask the receptionist for availability.
When Should I See a Nurse?
You can book an appointment to see our practice nurse for all New Patient Health Checks, Children’s Immunisations or Cervical Smears. If you need Blood Tests or Travel Vaccinations then ask Dr Mitchell, who may refer you to see the nurse. Her clinics are held by appointment on Wednesday or Thursday from 08.00 – 12.30. She is also specially trained to run routine clinics for certain conditions, such as Asthma, Diabetes and Heart Disease and to administer Flu vaccinations. Please ask our Reception staff to book an appointment for you.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
