Order repeat prescriptions, view your medical records – register with Patient Access or the NHS APP.
A repeat prescription is for a medication that the doctor has agreed for you to take long term. Please remember medicines prescribed by the doctor should only be taken by the person named on the prescription, and you should not stop taking repeat medication without consulting your doctor first.
If you are a new patient to the practice and take regular medication please let the receptionist know as soon as possible. The doctor will add the details to your computerised medical record.
To order a repeat prescription
The fastest and safest way to order your repeat prescription is online via Patient Access or the NHS App. Ask at our reception if you require any further information to register with Patient Access or to download the NHS App.
You may also request a repeat prescription by leaving a written request in the box next to Reception. To ensure no mistakes are made, where possible please use the white tear off slip which came with your medication. Always use the exact drug names when ordering.
Please allow two full working days for your medication to be reviewed by the doctor and for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
Please note we cannot take telephone requests for repeat prescriptions because of the possibility of error.
We use the Electronic Prescribing System (EPS) at the practice which enables your prescription items to be issued directly to your chosen pharmacy. This means that we do not hold any prescriptions for collection at the Practice with all prescriptions being sent to your chosen pharmacy. Please ask at our Reception if you require further information.
